This years Video Music Awards is being hosted by the hilarious and always compensating Kevin Hart. The event will be held in Los Angeles, California on September 6th at 8/7c and the categories will contain the typical choices with a couple in depth newbies:

There will also be performances from Alicia Keys whom we haven't seen in a while, partly due to her newborn baby boy with husband and producer Swiss Beats. The UK boys of One Direction will also be performing for the world to see and the rock hard rose Pink will most likely be showcasing her new single 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)'. Nominees such as Chris Brown, Rihanna, FUN., Katy Perry, and many more are part of the roster for this years VMAs.
